Very close to where I live and was brought up is a small mill town called Höganäs, where the clay is perfect for stoneware making and a pottery was founded over 100 years ago. In the early days the designs were simple and coloured only from the clay, but over the years the supply has grown into different shapes, glazes and colours.
Today, Höganäs Keramik manufactures simple yet beautiful stoneware utensils that combine centuries-old traditions with stunning modern design, their own words, but I agree.
I like the scandinavian feel, the simplicity and the oportunity to create your own combination of colors to your own tableware. And I am very excited to see what very popular Swedish design group Front will bring to the table as they have initiated a collaboration for a new collection.
